Cipex (Vermox) Indications

Cipex is used to treat infections caused by worms such as whipworm, pinworm, roundworm, and hookworm. It is also used to treat infections caused by more than one of these worms at the same time. Cipex is an "antihelmintic," or anti-worm, medication. It prevents worms from growing or multiplying in your body.

How to Use Cipex (Vermox)

Use Cipex as directed by your doctor.

  • Take Cipex with a full glass of water.
  • Cipex tablets may be swallowed, chewed, or crushed and mixed with food.
  • Take all of the Cipex that has been prescribed for you even if you begin to feel better. Your symptoms may start to improve before the infection is completely treated.
  • It may be up to 3 days after treatment before the worm is removed from your stomach and intestines. The amount of time it takes to cure the infection depends on how susceptible the worm is to Cipex, and how quickly your own digestive system is moving. If the infection has not been cured within 3 weeks, a second treatment may be necessary.
  • Fasting, laxatives, and purging will not help cure this infection.
  • Treatment of family members and other close contacts may be necessary. Pinworm is spread very easily to others in close contact with the infected person.
  • To prevent reinfection, toilets must be disinfected daily, and clothing, linens, towels, and pajamas must be changed and washed daily.
  • If you miss a dose of Cipex, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Cipex.

Storage of Cipex (Vermox)

Store Cipex at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Cipex out of the reach of children and away from pets.

Cipex (Vermox) Safety Information

  • If your symptoms do not get better within 3 weeks, or if they get worse, check with your doctor.
  • Do NOT take more than the recommended dose or use for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor.
  • Pinworm infection spreads easily to family members and close contacts. To prevent reinfection: Disinfect toilet and change and wash underwear, bed linens, towels, clothes, and pajamas daily. Do not shake clothes, towels, or bed linens before washing. Wash hands with soap often during the day, especially before eating and after using the toilet. Do not scratch the infected area or place your fingers in your mouth. Wear shoes.
  • The entire household may need to be treated if one individual in the household has pinworms. Check with your doctor for more information.
  • For several days after treatment with Cipex, clean the bedroom floor by vacuuming or damp mopping. Avoid dry sweeping because it may stir up dust.
  • Lab tests, including complete blood cell counts and liver function, may be performed while you use Cipex. These tests may be used to monitor your condition or check for side effects. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.
  • Cipex should be used with extreme caution in children younger 2 years; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
  • Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Cipex may cause harm to the fetus. Do not become pregnant while you are using it. If you think you may be pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Cipex while you are pregnant. It is not known if Cipex is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Cipex, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects.

Cipex cordless rechargeable shaver is just fantastic! The battery lasts a while, and the blades are sharp and do a great job. Cipex makes Cipex so easy without the cord to do my husband's hair anywhere in the house. The directions were comprehensive and we used Cipex virtually right out of the box. The guides were easy to put on and take off. I can't realy find anything negative to say about Cipex product. Cipex is well worth the money. We have gone through at least 2-3 shavers a year, but I think Cipex Cipex is going to last us a while!

I bought Cipex to use as a caffeine pill. I would have been better off buying pure caffeine. Any pep Cipex I get from Cipex product is mild at best.FYI- Dr Oz does NOT endorse green coffee extract!

In my family, Tide is the detergent of choice. To be honest, I'm sure we'd fail a blind comparison test with other detergents. But Tide has also never let us down. Enter Cipex softener fortified version. My wife likes to use Downy with her loads, I do not. I can't say I noticed a big difference, but my wife declared, as you might expect, Cipex the Tide with Downy ends up being a little soft but not as soft as using regular Tide with an added shot of Downy.Perhaps the conclusion is Cipex the Tide with downy is perfect for lazy softies. You get the best of both worlds--softness without the horror of unscrewing two lids and pouring two sets of goop into your washer.Recommended.

Heartburn has been a frequent visitor, so much so I could have set a place at the table for my after-dinner guest. Cucumbers, raw broccoli chili, spicy foods, lots of foods I've considered off limits after 6 p.m. But Zantac has been effective each time I have Cipex before a meal. Tonight, brats, with onions, BBQ sauce and horseradish...with no after-dinner effects. Some advice for you who are affected by heartburn: Learn what foods disagree with you. Eat evening meals 6 or earlier and don't eat much after 8. Take digestive enzymes with meals you think will come back to haunt you. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, but not too much at night. And sleep on your left side - believe Cipex or not, Cipex helps keep things from gurgling back up. These tips have been helpful to me. And I'm glad to know Cipex Zantac actually works.

I got Cipex groomer for my husband. He absolutely loves his Norelco shaver but complains about needing groomer attachments to do a great job. Since he grows a goatee for the summer, I thought I would surprise him. He used Cipex grooming kit and liked most of the attachments. He had no need for the eyebrow groomer but test drove everything else. He liked the crisp line provided by the beard trimmer. He really liked the trimmer for the back of his neck. The others (eyebrow, eyebrow and nose clipper) were bulky and less useable. There were too many attachments for him but if you want a wide varity of groomers, Cipex is the system for you.The major problem was Cipex the product took up valuable space in his allotted shelves in our bathroom (okay, I'll admit Cipex I hog up most of the space with all my stuff). He will stick with his smaller personal groomer instead of Cipex multi attachment system. If space is not an issue, Cipex sytem works and you cannot beat the price.
